Shannon Whitaker

Shannon Whitaker is a certified elementary special education teacher in the state of Maryland. She has been teaching in public, charter, and private schools professionally since 2009, with 14 of those years serving in early childhood education. She has a homeschooled 10-year-old son and loves learning through storytelling, music, and imaginative play!

Shannon received her Bachelor of Science from Howard University in 2009 and her Master of Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2013. She loves to sing, laugh, and watch science fiction movies! She finds purpose in creating communities centered around the safety and love of children. Shannon is excited to partner with families to help nurture their children as they learn and grow.
